Frequently Asked Questions
What Inspired You to Write a Book?
That is a complex question, with a complex answer. On the day that I was born, my dad bought a reel-to-reel tape recorder. He told my mom he knew I was going to have a lot to say. I have always marveled at how prophetic my dad was.
I have always had a lot to talk about and I have always been a deep thinker. God made me that way. He also gave me a story and I knew I had to share it; not just to those currently around me, but also to those who will come after me.

How Long Did it Take You to Write the Book?
One year. I started writing this book while I was quarantined with Covid. I never got really sick, but it did give me time to pause. I knew I had a story, so I just started typing and didn't stop for a year. A year of typing for hours at a time and then starting over and writing again. It wasn't an easy thing to do but I learned so much in the process. Writing this book has helped me see God working alongside me my whole life, even when I didn't know it at the time.
Did You Ever Feel Like Quitting?
Yes. One day I looked at my manuscript and all I saw was a jumble of words. Why was I doing this? Who cares? Doubt poured over me and I almost pushed the delete button. Then I looked at the page and the word "fear" was all over it. The whole book was about overcoming our fears and I knew that this was another one of those times when fear was trying to win, so I continued to type.
